    Hi Don! Lou Brown from Fairbanks here. Just got wind of your blog and journey through the Northern Alaska Environmental Center. Your journey, approach and vision are inspiring and I hope your inner light will sustain you through the many rough spots that are sure to come on a journey such as yours! I have a couple multi-month bike trips under my belt, too, so I know how quickly the sun can turn to slop and... vice versa! Another linkage is that Jon Miller (my husband) and I met at Mono Lake, California, not far at all from where you are now. The Sierra is God's country and I have long-ed long to set feet on the trails of the Ansel Adams Wilderness again. I worked trail crew there when my body was (much) younger.
